The Board of Aldermen is the legislative body of St Louis but the BOA is also responsible for oversight of City government, although it seems like this responsibility needs to be addressed. 

There is a culture of opacity, finger-pointing, and lack of accountability in St Louis City government. We’ve recently seen so much coverage of what appears to be cover-ups in SLMPD, and questionable practices at SLDC. The people of the 3rd Ward have questions about what we’ve read in the papers and seen on the news, but no answers. 

As Alderwoman of the 3rd Ward, I will use my Committee assignments to demand transparency and accountability until it becomes the norm instead of the exception. 

City Services

Having city services like trash and recycling picked up on time, clean alleys, and well-maintained streets is a quality of life issue. As Alderwoman of the 3rd Ward, I will prioritize this issue and work hard with the Streets and Refuse departments to help resolve the barriers preventing the seamless administration of these city services.
